The Institut du Bosphore (www.institut-bosphore.org), instituted in Paris to encourage and foster an environment for the objective discussion of Turkey’s EU membership and related issues together with all matters pertaining to the EU agenda in general, set the foundations for cooperation with the French Union pour un Mouvement Populaire (UMP)’s Advisors and Think Tank Club.
In this framework a cooperation agreement was signed in Paris between UMP General Secretary and Génération France President François Copé, and the President of the Institut du Bosphore Bahadır Kaleağası. The agreement is designed to provide for an exchange of ideas on various subjects in the economic, political, environmental and social fields in France and Turkey, and support understanding and the development of relations between the two societies.
