TÜSİAD held the second leg of its year-long seminar series on intellectual property rights on 3rd May under the heading "IP Management Seminars - 2: IP Management and Maintenance”. The opening speech at the seminar, designed to inculcate in the business world the notion that intellectual property rights are not merely a vehicle for judicial protection but a managerial tool of direct concern to corporate strategy, was delivered by TÜSİAD Intellectual Property Rights Working Group President Murat Peksavaş.
Royal Philips Electronics General Manager for Intellectual Property Rights and Standards Ingrid Baele attended as a guest speaker, following which BSH Bosch Siemens Intellectual Property Rights Department Manager Ekrem Soylu, Vestel Intellectual Property Rights Division Manager Cihat Aytaç and Turkcell Communications Business Development and Corporate Communications Manager Dr. Verda Emiroğlu shared their perspectives with respect to practices in Turkey.
