TÜSİAD held a Gala Dinner for 40th Anniversary Celebrations

TÜSİAD held a gala dinner to mark the 40th anniversary of its foundation with the attendance of Mr. Abdullah Gül, the President of Repulic of Turkey and Mr. Süleyman Demirel, former President of Republic of Turkey.

In his address, President Abdullah Gül expressed the view that TÜSİAD had been a major contributor to Turkey's development. Gül stated that Turkey had undertaken radical political and economic reforms in recent years, and that these reforms had made Turkey the world's 16th largest economy and the 6th largest in Europe. Specifying that Turkey now needed to set itself on a new orbit, he drew attention to the importance of a new Constitution in this regard.

At the gala dinner attended by TÜSİAD members, politicians, top civil servants, representatives from the business world and members of the press, plaques were presented to TÜSİAD members of 30 years standing and more in recognition of their service to the association.
