The TÜSİAD “Best Young Lawyer Award”, initiated in 2008 in order to encourage original work by anyone with graduate or post-graduate legal training under the age of 40 contributing to raising public awareness of the state of law, has been conferred.
The theme of this year’s award was “Tax Law” and was bestowed on Selçuk University Law Faculty 3rd year student İsmet Yurteri for his work entitled “Issues of Ex-Officio Tax Practices in the Light of the Principles of Justice”. The jury selected İsmet Yurteri’s “Issues of Ex-Officio Tax Practices in the Light of the Principles of Justice” paper by majority vote on the grounds that it brought original proposals for realistic and applicable solutions to problems related to tax auditing.
