“Turkish–German CEO Forum” organized by TÜSİAD and its German Counterpart BDI is held in Ankara

“Turkish –German CEO Forum” established by TÜSİAD and its German counterpart BDI (Bundesverband der Deutschen Industriee.V. - Federation of German Industries) in order to contribute to the development of the economic cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries, held its second meeting on 25th February, 2013 at the Ankara Hilton Hotel in Ankara with the participation of Mr. Zafer Çağlayan, Economy Minister of Turkey and Ms. Angela Merkel, Prime Minister of Germany.

The meeting to discuss the current political, social and cultural issues of relevance for the two countries was opened by Mr. Muharrem Yılmaz, President of the Board of Directors of TÜSİAD and Mr. Ulrich Grillo, President of the Board of Directors of BDI. Following the opening speeches, Mr. Zafer Çağlayan, Economy Minister of Turkey and Ms. Angela Merkel, Prime Minister of Germany addressed to the audience.

During the “Turkish –German CEO Forum”, aiming at expanding the dialogue between the Presidents of the Board and CEOs of the leading business groups and companies of Turkey and Germany, the presidents of  TÜSİAD and BDI released a joint declaration containing their proposals on the chief issues of bilateral economic cooperation.
