The 4th Turkey Europe Future Forum will take place from July 1st to July 8th 2018 in Paris and Berlin. The application deadline is February 18th, 2018.

The Forum is organized by Stiftung Mercator in cooperation with TUSIAD (Turkish Industry & Business Association) and TCCI (Turkey: Culture of Change Initiative). It aims to strengthen the ties between young leaders from Turkey and Europe with a view to leveraging the European discourse and creating a strong network. Internationally renowned Co-Deans, Ms Ümit Boyner and Mr. Ruprecht Polenz, are supervising the programme. Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union, supports the Forum as patroness.

This year’s Forum entitled ‘Rethink Europe’s Future’ will focus on the following questions: Which scenario for the future of the post-Brexit EU will prevail? Will Emmanuel Macron’s pro-European tendencies lead to the strengthening of the Franco-German axis many have been awaiting? What will be the official German position in the aftermath of the post-election standstill? Will on the other hand illiberal tendencies in some member states gain momentum? What consequences may the changes within Europe’s framework have for neighbors and accession candidates, especially Turkey?

Young leaders from Turkey, Germany and other European countries are invited to participate in the programme.

All costs of participating including travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses will be covered.

All applications must be made online via: http://application.turkey-europe-future-forum.com.
