TÜSİAD organizes "The State and the Individual in the 21st Century" Forum under the Scope of its 40th Anniversary Activities

On 23rd March 2011 TÜSİAD organized a forum entitled "The State and the Individual in the 21st Century" within the scope of its 40th anniversary activities. The theme was aimed at supporting TÜSİAD's work for democratization and was discussed in the context of a half-day forum by prominent politicians, journalists and academicians from home and abroad. 

In the forum's first session, an international perspective was given by South African human rights advocate Brian CURRIN, former Spanish Deputy PM and Defense Minister Narcis SERRA, and former Prime Minister of Spain (1982-1996) & Chairman of the Think Tank on the Future of the EU Felipe GONZALES, each of whom addressed the forum.

The new Constitution and the democratization precess were examined in the second session of the conference. During this session, these matters were discussed by Marmara Universty's Prof. Dr. İbrahim KABOĞLU, Ankara University's Prof. Dr. Mithat SANCAR, İstanbul Bilgi University's Prof. Dr. Murat BELGE and Galatasaray University faculty member Prof. Dr. Ahmet İNSEL.
