TÜSİAD External Trade and Customs Union Working Group organized a seminar entitled "Where are we at Market Surveillance Implementations?” on April 21st, 2011 at Taksim The Marmara Hotel.
The opening speeches at the seminar that looked into market supervision and control rules and regulations were made by TÜSİAD Board Member and External Relations and EU Affairs Committee President Mr. Volkan Vural and TÜSİAD External Trade and Customs Union Working Group President Mr. Asım Barlın.
Mr. Asım Barlın indicated that instead of public bodies forming market supervisory and control mechanisms on a common platform, each body forms its own organization or claims to be about to do so, and for this reason the issue of market supervision and control was not an activity that had touched the public consciousness.
