The application process has started for e-Turkey (eTR) Awards, which will be organized for the 9th time this year by TÜSİAD and TBV

This year, the eTR Awards, organized by TÜSİAD and TBV, will be presented for the ninth time. Applications for eTR Awards can be made until October 7, 2011. The awards will be presented at the eTR Awards ceremony to be held in December.

This year, the local governments, which are considered as the public service units closest to the citizens, will be evaluated in three different groups according to their population, financial resources and administrative capacities. In this frame, awards will be given in "Small Scale Municipality", "Medium Scale Municipality" and "Large Scale Municipality" categories for the first time in the scope of the 9th eTR Awards.

In addition to this, the applications for eTR Awards can also be made under the categories of "Public e-Services to Citizens", "Public e-Services to Business Community", "Public e-Services to Public" and "Special Award", as in previous years. The central or provincial organizations of the public institutions (including professional organizations with public institution identity) may apply for "Public e-Services to Citizens", "Public e-Services to Business Community" and "Public e-Services to Public" categories; and the projects of the local governments (special provincial administrations and municipalities) may apply for the municipality categories. The applications applying for award must have an active and/or interactive structure. The applications that are still in design and development stage, the pilot projects and the passive solutions that simply provide information, cannot be a candidate for the awards.

The applications, which do not meet the conditions for the above-mentioned categories but which support modern government concept and adopt principles such as transparency, social responsibility, creating employment opportunities and increasing cost effectiveness, may be given "special awards".

The application guides and application forms can be obtained from www.etrodulleri.org
