Seeking Solutions for the Global Water Crisis: Private Sector Participation to Mains Water Services: Recommendations for Turkey in the Light of Global Examples

 

The mains water supply services, evaluated as a public good for long years and managed largely on a central basis and in the care of local public authorities, has started to be regarded as an economic good parallel to the understanding that has changed, especially during the last years, due to the global water crisis. As a matter of fact; one of the principles within the framework known as the Dublin Conference Principles of Water and put forward in 1992 as the new manifesto for the management of water resources, is the principle of accepting water as an economic good.
