TÜSİAD Delegation held contacts in Ankara on increasing women's representation in parliament

A delegation composed of TÜSİAD Deputy President and Parliamentary Affairs Committee Chairman Haluk Dinçer, TÜSİAD Gender Equality Working Group Chairwoman Nur Ger together with working group members Meral İnci Zaim and Esin Güral Argat, held contacts in Ankara on 14th March 2011. 

The delegation met with AKP Deputy Leader and Head of Political and Legal Affairs Abdülkadir Aksu, CHP General Secretary Bilhun Tamaylıgil, MHP Deputy Leader responsible for Legal and Election Affairs Faruk Bal and BDP Women's Spokesman Şükran Dikmen.

Views were also exchanged on the parties' programs in the lead up to the general elections on issues such as increasing women's participation in education, employment and politics as well as the struggle to defeat violence against women.
